From empowering vulnerable children through programs that teach them positive life skills to helping seniors rediscover their purpose, Operation Stitches programs act as a powerful force for good for the entire community.
Kids Club
Kids Club is our program for primary school aged kids where fun activities are provided in a positive learning environment to give children a sense of belonging and a broader view of the world and their potential.
Tutoring
More than 100 children (from prep to grade 12) attend our weekly tutoring program with dozens of volunteer tutors who have a love for education. We believe education is your passport to a better future!
Food Pantry
We provide hot lunches during the week to the many who live or merely wander around the Collingwood housing estate. These are often homeless people who would otherwise go without. This initiative satisfies a great need in the community and builds meaningful relationships.
Outreach Events
Community outreach events are held throughout the year at the public housing estate to promote community inclusion and discourage racial and ethnic intolerance.
Woman 2 Woman
Monthly meetings are held to promote well-being and provide encouragement and support for the many mothers and single women in the community.
Community Christmas
Everyone loves Christmas! During this exciting time of the year Operation Stitches distributes Christmas gifts and has a special Christmas presentation to the local community.
