From empowering vulnerable children through programs that teach them positive life skills - to helping seniors rediscover their purpose, Operation Stitches programs act as a powerful force for good for the entire local community.
Kids Club
Kids Club is our program for primary school aged kids where off estate activities are provided in a positive learning environment to give children a sense of belonging and a broader view of their world
Tutoring
More than 100 children (from prep to VCE Year 12) attend our weekly tutoring program with dozens of volunteer tutors who have a love for education. We believe education is their passport to a better future!
Stitches Pantry
We provide food, clothing and toiletries to the many vulnerable disadvantaged families or individuals in Collingwood housing estate area. These are often homeless people who would otherwise go without.
Community Events
Community outreach events are held throughout the year at the Collingwood public housing estate to promote community inclusion and target racial and ethnic intolerance.
Visitation
Visitation to family homes and hospital are carried out when neccessary where encouragement and practical support is needed.
Career Pathways
Presenting career pathway opportunities to vulnerable young people who may drop out of school early and are in need of remedial tutoring, planned strategies, practical tools and encouragement to enter future employment.
